My terrible online shopping experience searching for my boyfriend's dream watch, the Rolex GMT Master II, is a cautionary tale I feel compelled to share. The website was so unclear about stock and availability that it caused immense frustration, making it impossible to determine if the specific model was even in store. After endless searching online, we finally decided to visit Shreve & Co. in person. I remember thinking, "We were greeted by Brandon C. who provided us excellent service and exceptional hospitality! I personally am not as knowledgeable about watches as my boyfriend, but Brandon was able to guide and answer any questions I had. He even let me try on a few Datejusts which have peaked my interest! We didn’t leave with a watch this time, but Brandon kindly wrapped up two catalogues for us to enjoy and display—I will definitely use it to give me ideas! We are both excited to visit again soon, just so we can have another satisfying experience. A big thank you to Brandon for making our visit today so pleasant and enjoyable." While Brandon's service was truly exceptional, the fact that we still couldn't secure the watch after such a confusing online journey felt like a letdown. We had a great experience with Brandon in-store, but the whole point was to actually buy the watch. Now we're back to square one, with no clearer idea when it might be available.
